I hope you had an enjoyable and safe Independence Day. With this year’s holiday falling on a Friday, I read that a record-breaking 72 million Americans traveled with most of them driving. I probably passed by a few of you on the road. 

I also discovered a new word – semiquincentennial. On July 4, 2026, the United States will celebrate its 250th anniversary and the signing of the Declaration of Independence. 

According to america250.org, the official website of the U.S. Semiquincentennial Commission, the one-year countdown to this historic milestone kicked off on July 3. As a fourth-generation, family-owned American manufacturer, we’re proud of the part we play in our country’s great history.
