Happy almost summer!

I saw a meme recently that asked, “How can it be summer when the year started just two weeks ago?” I laughed out loud because life sure has a way of moving fast, doesn’t it? I hope you find time this summer to slow down and enjoy it. My family’s definition of slowing down is spending nights and weekends at our kids’ sports activities. I’m hoping we sneak in a vacation.

This month’s product spotlight is our disposable wet pad, a low-cost alternative to microfiber when laundering is not an option, and I’m sharing some thoughts on everyone’s favorite subject … tariffs

Product Spotlight: Disposable Wet Pads

Do you need a convenient, hygienic, and efficient way to clean?

Look no further than our new disposable wet pads that eliminate the need for separate buckets and chemicals. They are designed for quick cleaning, often effective in a single pass and are safe for various hard-surface floors.

Best for use in areas with high cross-contamination, our disposable wet pads do not bind to Quat disinfectants and can be used for wiping, dusting, and wet mopping. Packaged in cases of 500, their size is 4.5” x 17”, and are made to fit our aluminum snap-on frame and snap-on extension handle.

The Art and Consequences of Tariffs

If you’ve been paying close attention to the Trump administration’s tariff announcements, one certain truth is there’s been a lot of change.

In February, tariffs on imported steel and aluminum went into effect. In April, there were at least four major announcements that included new assessments and then suspensions. In May, assessments slowed and trade negotiations and deals ramped up, and in early June the tariff on steel and aluminum doubled, leaving everyone to wonder, “What’s next?”

Tariffs were a hallmark of Trump’s first term, and he’s doubling down on them again to promote American manufacturing and challenge foreign trade abuses. As an American producer, I can’t say I disagree with these principles.

I imagine much like Trump’s well-known book, “The Art of the Deal” there’s an art to tariffs. They are used as bargaining tools to pressure trading partners into better terms or compliance with the United States, and there’s a balancing act needed to protect domestic industries without sparking retaliation or harming consumers through higher prices.

The other truth about tariffs is that they are affecting everyone’s supply chain. We promise to continue monitoring all the latest happenings and minimize any delivery disruptions and price changes.
